I am working on relaunching Get Consistent With this summer and confronting my own limiting beliefs as I do so! Rereading Jen Sincero's You Are a Badass and she points out how sometimes we are not successful because we are the ones holding ourselves back.
We get in a slump with our thinking and starting finding evidence for why we can't have the thing, do the thing, or be the person we want to be.
So instead of finding evidence for why we can't, we have to start collecting evidence for why we can.
But the tricky part is when you have soooo much evidence, years of evidence showing things haven't worked for you in the past.
But in order to change who you are being, you have to believe in things that haven't happened yet. You have to believe they are possible. Without that belief, you will keep doing the old things you've been doing and keep staying the same.
So this Monday, as you start your week, working on your goals and trying new things, believe in the not-yet seen. Start collecting bits of evidence you are a successful person. And write them down. So when you get in a thought loop about what a crummy person you are, you can consult some tangible stuff on paper about what a not-crummy person you are. You are a whole cookie. Not crumbs.
Take action my friend!
