I've been reflecting on the last 12 months. We left Chicago a year ago, and so much has changed.
I'm so grateful to be living in a place I enjoy. Where I can walk outside and feel safe and actually want to be outisde.
I'm so grateful to be so close to the ocean. We gave up having a large home to live in a place we love.
I'm so grateful to be able to be outside in October and November and December. It will get cold in other places and will stay mildly warm here. The seasonal depression that hit me hard every winter will not be as much of an issue now. I can still be outside. I can still be active. It's darker earlier here, yes, but I can still do things I want through winter.
Years ago, I never thought this life I have now was available to me. It wasn't even on my mind. I just didn't even know I was allowed to have a life like this.
We visited California in 2018/2019 and thought it was cool but weren't making plans to move here. And now I'm here and living a life I actually enjoy.
Things you didn't know were available to you ARE available to you.
It might take years to make it happen, but you can make it happen.
I want to stress that it might take YEARS.
So many people on the internet want to tell you magical things will happen in 21 days, but the truth is it takes time. It takes time because you have to take action and get repetition.
What I have now was not possible for me 10 years ago. I had to grow into being the person I am today to create this life I wanted...
So the best time to start taking action... is now.
