I created Imperfect Eating and the 5Ps back in 2018 as an easy way to eat healthy without being on a diet. It's great because it's enough structure and enough variety.
But over the years, I've just wanted to think about food even less. I think in working from home and working for myself and working through the pandemic, I hate having to make decisions. Decisions about what to eat. I hate having to make decisions about what to do for a workout or what clothes to wear.
I've just wanted simplicity and to know what to do without having to think about it.
So I've created My Go-To Meals. They're still based on the 5Ps- always. But I don't have to think about what to eat most of the time.
Breakfast- 5P Smoothie with greens + protein powder, a sliver of avocado, 1/2 frozen banana, a handful of spinach, almond milk, water, and TJ Seed Cracker with cream cheese
Lunch- 5P Salad- bagged salad pack with chickpeas, chicken or whatever meat we have, crunchies, salad dressing, and giant glass of whatever
Snack- 5P Smoothie - vanilla protein powder, handful of blueberries, almond milk, water and a granola bar, pack of Bada Beans, or something else snacky
Dinner- dinner is the death of me. I haven't created a great routine with this yet and sometimes struggle to eat. It's usually a veg, protein, and carb. Though yesterday I ate protein cereal and watermelon. Ideal? No. Better than nothing? Yes.
Small Dessert- usually fruit or some ice cream or TJ peanut butter cups
I hate thinking about food. I just need to eat. :)
